Konbanwa (since I don't know what time you're reading this)!! I am here to get rid of more cobwebs! -wields vacuum cleaner. DIE (really adorable although evil) SPIDERS DIE!!
... Right. Sorry.
Anyway! I'm currently in the school library (I know, so hardworking right?) so I thought I'd drop by to share something with you guys! I can't tell you what it is, though, cos it's a secret! So you have to guess!
Wrong!
Okay, just kidding. Sorry for crapping.
Anyway anyway (for real this time), I was lying in bed last night, drifting off to sleep, when a song and a story came to my mind. The song is one of those kinda old songs that you don't hear for a long time, and when you hear them again it's like you remember so many things that have happened, the times that you've spent with God and the promise(s) that you've made.
But first, the story.
Some time ago, a few women met in a certain city to study the Scriptures. While reading the third chapter of Malachi, they came upon a remarkable expression in the third verse: "And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver." (Malachi 3:3).
One of the women proposed to visit a silversmith, and report to them on what he said about the subject. So, she went accordingly, and without telling him about the object of her errand, begged the silversmith to tell her the process of refining silver.
After he had fully described to her, she asked, "But sir, do you sit, while the work of refining is going on?"
"Oh, yes Madam," replied the silversmith; "I must sit with my eyes steadily fixed on the furnace, for if the time necessary for refining be exceeded in the slightest degree, the silver will be injured."
The women at once saw the beauty, and comfort, too, of the scriptural expression, "He shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver."
God sees it necessary to put His children into a furnace; His eye is steadily intent on the work of purifying, and His wisdom and love are both engaged in the best manner for both of us. Our trials do not come at random. Each is with a specific purpose (2 Cor. 4:17; 1 Pet. 1:6-10). And He will not let us be tested beyond what we can endure (1 Cor. 10:13).
Before she left, the woman asked one final question: "When do you know the process is complete?"
"Why, that is quite simple," replied the silversmith. "When I can see my own image in the silver, the refining process is finished."
Refiner's Fire, by Brian Doerksen
Purify my heart
Let me be as gold and precious silver
Purify my heart
Let me be as gold, pure gold
Refiner's fire
My heart's one desire is to be holy
Set apart for You my Lord
I choose to be holy
Set apart for you my Master
Ready to do Your will
Purify my heart
Cleanse me from within and make me holy
Purify my heart
Cleanse me from my sin, deep within
---
How many of us can sing that song with utmost sincerity and honesty, to ask God to do whatever it takes to refine us and set us apart, making us different from the world so that we can be used by Him?

We are the Christian Fellowship from Anglo Chinese Junior College! :)
Basically, the purpose of this blog is just to have a place where anyone interested in knowing more about God, or even just talking to other Christians, can come to.
This is a new blog, still under construction, so not much is up yet.
Do feel free to post up anything you like, as long as it's edifying and constructive. :)
Oh, and if you're interested, Melanie and Sharyl will be putting up a blog devoted completely to putting up song lyrics and chords. It will be linked to this site once it's up, so go and check it out!
Well, that's all. Have fun browsing!
